Major changes: Revision of all functions in the portal. A new cross-platform touch enabled viewer is introduced. Major changes done to the image server part, with even more effective compression and faster tile output from the server. 

Minor changes: A native iOS App was published on Appstore. The App, which offers a very smooth viewing experience, is now an optional viewer on the web portal.

Major changes: Revision of all functions in the portal. New users are now added by invitation emails. The Project Manager has been launched within the Research module. Also, the SpotFinder has been introduced as the new end-user hub of the Research module.

Major changes: The Exam manager has been completely revised. An MT Manager is added for the administration of Multi-touch screens and contents. About 50 minor improvemts in the admin interface. Several additions to the Research module.

Major changes: The annotation system has been completely renewed, with vector graphics also in plugin-free mode. An import function for annotations from earlier versions of the WebMicroscope has been added.

Major changes: The thumbnail system has been renewed. You can now select an area in a slide to use as the thumbnail for the Case slide, or to represent the whole Slide page in listings on the portal pages.

Major changes: With this patch sharing whole Slide pages as well as individual Cases is made possible on the portal. Also, an account can be shared with other users on the portal. Account sharing is primarily intended for groups of users working on the same project, for example teachers in the same unit, or researchers working on the same project.

Sharing a whole Slide page will let the other user edit all settings of the page, while sharing Cases only, is very convenient for example when arranging slide seminars with Cases assigned to different presenters.

Minor changes: The 'Shared login' type has been removed. Instead you can now indicate whether an email address is used by an account or not. If not no emails will be sent to the user, and the password cannot be changed by the user. Several bug fixes.

The rich text box editors have been updated to MS generic controls (previously FreeText controls)

Share a Slide page or Case - How to

Major changes: The Exam manager has been added to the administration interface. With the Exam manager an existing Slide page can be run in Exam mode, i.e. a Registration page is displayed with optional registration questions and password.

Cases to include can be selected manually or by random, a session time limit can be set, participants can be selected, and much more. A link to the session can be emailed to the participant. The participants can get instant feedback in the form of suggested/correct answers, and a moving average chart for numerical questions.

Submitted answers can be reviewed in a detailed results table, MC-questions charted graphically, all answers checked one-by-one, or downloaded as an auto-corrected Excel sheet.

Minor changes: Version info has been added to the portal (Admin/Miscellaneous) and patch contents added to the Help/Support web site.

Exam manager

Version: 2.06
Release date: April 14th, 2011

Major changes: The 'Create page wizard' has been added. By following this 9-step wizard all important settings of a new page can be configured in a sequence. By using the wizard notifications can also be sent to users about the page, thus making it optimal for consulations.

Major changes: Viewpath tracking has been added to the portal. By turning viewpath tracking on (in the Response tab of the Page manager), you can select any slide viewing session on the page, and graphically follow how the user zoomed and navigated in a slide.
